About the event
TuKlor, an independent filmmaker and advocate, is inviting community organizations, universities, and film venues to host screenings of the critically resonant documentary A WATER TRAIL: Birth of a Water Protector — a gripping story that examines the interconnected crises of water access, climate displacement, and maternal resilience. The Folded Leaf is thrilled to be a host for this powerful film!

The film follows Amber Hasan, bringing to light the urgency of infrastructure justice and the right to safe water, through intimate storytelling and powerful visuals. A WATER TRAIL made its debut at The Alluvion, where it sparked powerful dialogue, inspired community action, and encouraged deep reflection. Water holds memory—and in this film, it carries the voices of those who’ve been silenced too long. “A Water Trail is a call to listen, to feel, and to act,” says filmmaker Tuklor.
